A jump in service sales helped Ottawa tech company Intouch Insight (TSX-V:INX) set a new record for quarterly revenues this spring.

The firm, which provides mobile-based market research and analytics software for enterprise clients, said Tuesday that its revenues climbed eight per cent in the three-month period that ended June 30 to $3.78 million.

Its pre-tax net earnings were $82,319, down 29 per cent year-over-year.

"We continue to invest in our customer-facing software products as well as in software to improve our ability to deliver our products and services competitively,” said president and CEO Cameron Watt in a statement. “These investments are starting to pay off and as such we remain committed to continuing this technology transformation and continued advancement towards recurring revenue.”

The company's shares opened up three per cent, or 1.5 cents, to reach 46.5 cents on the TSX Venture Exchange Wednesday morning.
