With preparations for one of the largest celebrations of local businesses underway, OBJ and the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce are asking firms in the region to share their success stories.
Nominations and ticket sales are now open for the BOBs, or the Best Ottawa Business Awards.
These awards seek to recognize the most successful and innovative companies and business leaders who are driving economic growth and prosperity in the nation's capital.
Each year, dozens of companies from all sectors are nominated for their contributions to Ottawa’s business community and feted for their achievements in various categories, including:
-Best new business
-Best performance in exporting, human resources, marketing, sales, philanthropy and sustainability
-Kanata North #SeriousTechLivesHere - Company of the Year; and
-Kanata North #SeriousTechLives Here - Team of the Year
Nominations for the awards can be submitted online here before Sept. 30.
Tickets for the gala, which will be held the evening of Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Westin Ottawa, can be purchased here.
The BOBs also recognize Ottawa’s CEO of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
Last year, the honours went to OSEG's Bernie Ashe and Westeinde Construction co-founder Shirley Westeinde, respectively.
OBJ will announce the 2016 recipients in the coming weeks.
