As one of Ottawa’s brightest tech stars sets its sights on global scale, it’s turning to an established sales and marketing executive to lead its go-to-market strategy.
Assent Compliance, which develops software to help enterprise customers track regulatory requirements across their supply chains, announced earlier this week it has hired Dave Curley as its new chief revenue officer.
Curley comes to Assent after more than 25 years in Ottawa’s tech sector. He worked as vice-president of marketing with Mitel in the mid-90s, and went on to take similar roles with QNX Software Systems (before it was acquired by BlackBerry) and Mxi Technologies. Most recently, Curley served as vice-president of marketing and sales with Pleora Technologies.
"Given his wealth of experience, I look forward to having Dave lead our go-to-market strategy as we continue to grow, and play an active role in defining and establishing the emerging category of supply chain data management," said Assent Compliance CEO Andrew Waitman in a statement.
Assent has turned its attention to global markets since landing $160 million in a series-C round last year.
Also joining the firm to support its international expansion is Steven Andrews, a longtime U.K.-based policymaker. He will support companies through regulatory requirements related to environmental legislation as a subject matter expert.
