A prominent local CEO and some high-profile out-of-towners are among the first few speakers unveiled for this year’s AccelerateOTT conference, which opened ticket sales this past week.
“Scale or Fail” is the theme of Invest Ottawa’s latest annual entrepreneurship event, taking place June 13 at Lansdowne Park’s Horticulture Building.
Assent Compliance CEO Andrew Waitman is among the first five speakers unveiled – and it’s clear why. With $60 million in venture financing and recurring revenues more than doubling annually for the past four consecutive years, the Ottawa-based firm is in the midst of its own “scale or fail” stage.
Joining Waitman at the conference will be high-profile investors and advisers including 500 Startups U.K. partner Saalim Chowdhury, co-founder of San Francisco’s Hustle Fund Elizabeth Yin and Techstars entrepreneur-in-residence Chris Heivly.
AccelerateOTT 2018 will be the seventh edition of the event since launching in 2012. The conference is aimed at students and entrepreneurs in Ottawa’s tech and startup community, and boasts a crowd of founders, mentors and potential investors.
